SET SAIL creatively and embrace adventure...
Leave perfection at the shore and simply begin. You don’t need to feel ready, have loads of time or even think of yourself as artistic. Give yourself permission to play, experiment and create without worrying about getting it right… you just need to be willing to start.
...DISCOVER who you are beneath the surface...
Use images, colour, words and declarations to explore what’s happening beneath the surface... Your identity, dreams, courage, thoughts and the things you don’t always slow down long enough to notice. Turn what’s happening on the inside into something meaningful on the page... creativity becomes a way to discover you.
...and EXPLORE with creative curiosity and freedom.
For five days, move yourself a little higher up the list. Gather your supplies, grab your journal or paper and enjoy some intentional creative me time without pressure, comparison or trying to create a masterpiece. Simply play, reflect, connect and enjoy creating again… you don’t have to earn your me time.

Mandy Venter
Mandy has been teaching creativity and art lessons since 2003. She has a passion for guiding women to freedom and healing using creativity.
In 2019 Mandy left the familiar shores of safety and perfectionism, daring greatly and pushing her own creativity further than ever before.
Art journaling was the perfect companion to the inner work work she was doing at the time. It changed her life more than she expected it to...
Her audacious dream was to move to the coast with her family in 2020, leaving it all behind and starting anew.
They packed the car and drove to the Eastern Cape coast the day before lockdown.
Today she lives in a little surf town called Jeffreys Bay with her hubby Riaan and their two adventurous boys.
She teaches women how to make room for creativity and create lives they never need to escape from.
